Angels Camp PD press release re:stolen vehicle request- for assistance

On December 15, 2011 Angels Camp Police Officer Chris Johnson located a stolen Range Rover SUV parked in the 400 block of N Main St.  During the course of his investigation he recalled making contact several days prior with a female adult named Lacey Barnes, 33 of Modesto during the late night hours walking in the same area where the stolen vehicle was located.  During the previous contact with Barnes Officer Johnson had recovered keys and DMV registration for the stolen Range Rover SUV.  At the time of contact with Barnes the vehicle had not yet been reported as stolen.  Barnes is a person of interest in the theft and possession of the stolen Range Rover SUV.  Barnes is on California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitations Parole and is described as a Caucasian female adult, 5’8” approximately 125 lbs with brown hair and blue eyes.  The Angels Camp Police Department is asking that any person with information regarding the whereabouts of Barnes to notify Officer Johnson at (209) 736-2567 or by email chrisjohnson@angelscamp.gov.
