Welcome new advertiser C-Town Garage

Located at 90 Rock Creek Road #8 lay a shop that can make your dream of a custom hot rod or bike a reality.

Owner Tyler Whitear fell in love with classics, cars and motorcycles, during his impressionable youth in Calaveras County and by 2000 he had built a 1969 Chevy Nova. He had caught the bug.

By 2003 Tyler was building custom bikes as a hobbie and was discovered by a custom bike shop in San Diego. There he honed his skills and took his hobby to the next level... professional custom design and fabrication.

With the joy of a growing family, Tyler knew he wanted to move back to the foothills. He grasped the opportunity to also get back to his roots, custom hotrods.

Now Tyler has a complete shop that can build a custom hotrod from the ground up. His prefercne is to work with older car bodies. "I see potential in them." His eyes light up as he talks about the fabrication and custom modifications he plans on creating on a '25 Buick. To the uneducated eye, the body looked as if it was simply an old rusted out piece of junk, to Tyler it looked like a hotrod like no other.

Quite humble in his skills Tyler claims that he is not creative yet he can look at an old body and reinvent the car, he can look at the twisted remnants of an old frame and build something magical.

Not limited to custom hotrods Tyler also offers Chops, rigids, air bags, wide tire kits, patch panel, custom chassis and has been know to weld custom railings and repair boat trailers.

Tyler welcomes visitors to his shop at 90 Rock Creek Road (Just across Hwy 4 from Main Street) where you will be happily greeted by the shops mascots Rhino and Penny.
