Holiday Traditions in the Mother Lode. . .

Holiday traditions begin early this year when Soroptimist International of Calaveras County celebrates their 14th Annual Teddy Bear Tea!  Yes, Sunday, November 6th is a very special date for all those who are still young at heart; children, parents and grandparents who will gather for the formal holiday tea at Frog Town in Angels Camp.  Attendees will find Santa & Mrs. Claus, the giant Teddy Bear, face painters, clowns, crafts, jugglers and a fabulous raffle with something for everyone!  And don’t forget the wonderful entertainers, ballerinas, story tellers and singers with marvelous high tea faire for all to enjoy!

Reservations for the “high tea” are limited and may be secured by calling the Soroptimist phone line 209-736-1947 or by emailing barbchuck75@comcast.net.   Cost of the Tea including all entertainment and crafts is again $25.00 for adults and children age 10 and over and $15.00 for children age 9 and under.

All proceeds from the tea benefit programs for women and girls throughout the mother lode area.  Soroptimist International is the world’s largest classified women’s service organization whose mission is to “improve the lives of women and girls in local communities and around the world.”
