On 10/18/2011 the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Department Investigations and Narcotics Unit served two search warrants at 221 Hunter Dam Road in Avery, CA. When Deputies arrived at the residence, suspects attempted to conceal methamphetamine from Deputies. Approximately 14 grams of methamphetamine, as well as drug paraphernalia and stolen property were located in the trailer.
Several other items of stolen property were located around the property and inside the residence.
Nathan Smith was arrested and is currently in custody at the Calaveras County Jail on charges of being under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance for sale, possession of a controlled substance, possession of narcotics, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of stolen property.
