Lymphoma Leukemia Quilt raffle winner

The winner of the hand cross stitched and hand quilted king size quilt to raise funds for the Lymphoma Leukemia Society was local woman Kathy Thaysen.
"I've never won anything before!" Said Kathy, an 8th generation Hershey. According to Thaysen her house is decorated in shaker style and this quilt, donated by Deb and Bill Cody and handmade by Bill's mother Edie in the late '60's, will go perfectly in her home.

The money was being raised for the Lymphoma Leukemia Society by Stacey Nolan who recently ran the 13.1 mile Nike womans marathon in San Francisco in honor of her Uncle "Sonny" and Chief Dennis Powers.

Displayed at the Copperopolis Branch library fro the last month, the drawing took place on October 20, 2011. The winning raffle ticket was drawn by Valerie Dean.
