Assemblymember Olsen to Host 2011 Natural Resources Summit in Sonora

– Assemblymember Kristin Olsen will host the 2011 Natural Resources Summit in Sonora on September 29th and 30th. The purpose of the two-day event is to examine ways to responsibly manage our state's precious natural resources and to discuss water issues in California.

WHAT:          Hosts 2011 Natural Resources Summit and Forest Tour. The event begins with a forestry tour to educate participants on the connections between healthy forest management and improved air quality, decreased wildfire risk and even increased water supply. The day following the tour there will be a half-day summit with state and nationally-recognized experts on water policy.

Assemblymember Kristin Olsen, R-Modesto, represents the 25th Assembly District in the California Legislature, which includes the communities of Angels Camp, Chowchilla, Hughson, Mammoth Lakes, Mariposa, Modesto, Oakdale, Oakhurst, Riverbank, Sonora, and Waterford.
