WESTERN RANCH DAY CAMP FOR CHILDREN

Do you have a kid that wishes they were born on a ranch??  The Copper Valley Trail Company has the perfect summer camp for them!  

Each day, they'll have their own horse to care for, ride and love.  They will learn all about horses and what it takes to care for them.  We will have fun experiences every day, including going on trail rides, fishing at the bass pond, riding on obstacle courses, learning about roping and junior rodeo events and even packing mules to go out on a fun picnic trail ride!

Day Camps Schedule:

Monday, August 1st thru Friday, Aug 5th

Day Schedule:  8:30AM thru 1:30PM

Cost :  $325 per camper

We're only taking 6 to 8 kids per camp so that each child gets plenty of individual riding time!  Book your spot before it fills up!

WESTERN RANCH DAY CAMP FOR CHILDREN
DAY CAMP INCLUDES:

• A horse for each child to ride, care for and love the entire session
• A counselor skilled in leadership and horsemanship to supervise and instruct the children
• Special events such as: trail rides, lunch rides, games on horseback, junior rodeo events, fishing rides, obstacle courses, mule packing

EQUIPMENT NEEDED:

• Riding boots (not hiking boots) which are always to be worn around the horses, and long pants.
• Daily sack lunch. Extra water and sunscreen
• ATSM/SEI approved horseback riding helmet (the stables will provide one if necessary)

Our Western Ranch Day Camp is designed for children 7 - 14 years old.

Campers learn:

• The horse-parts, colors, markings, breeds
• Care of the horse-feeding, grooming, saddling, cleaning, and knot-tying
• Western tack-its use, care and cleaning
• Basic equitation
• Trail riding-rules and safety
• Feeds and feeding for particular needs
• Introduction to Junior Rodeo events
• Use ofobstacle courses and figure work
• Introduction to Mule Packing
