Copper Kids Weave More Than Tales

Thursday, July 21, 2011, the children at the Copperopolis Extended Day Care experienced the art of weaving.

Teachers; Roxanne Shevlin, Tammy Settlemoir and aide Cathy Billiet, have been taking the children on a journey around the world this summer, exploring a different country each week through books, song, tales and crafts. More and more it has been found that weaving is an integral part of many of the societies studied. Bringing weaving to the classroom brought a hands-on experience that the children thoroughly enjoyed.
