Auditions for CSTAR's Summer Production of Hercules

It's time to get the party started for summer 2011! Auditions will be held for CSTARS summer production of "Hercules," with three different dates!

Who Can Audition?

CSTARS is open to any one between the ages of five to eighteen. Students may be no older than eighteen at the time of auditions.

What to Prepare:

Please come with a song prepared to sing for Miss Ann, our director. It can be sung acapella (no accompaniment), but we will have a CD player available for those who wish to audition with music. Poems, monologues and recitations are also accepted. If you have a special talent like dance, gymanstics, instrumental abilities or anything else, you are welcome to showcase that as well!

What Happens Next?

If you audition, congratulations - you are part of the CSTARS family and will be in our summer production! Rehearsals begin at 12:30 pm on Monday, June 13th at the Bret Harte High School multi-purpose room. We will be rehearsing Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 12:30 to 2:30 until show week.

When is the Show?

Our production of Hercules will be performed at the Bret Harte Theatre on July 23rd at 2:00 pm and 7:00 pm, and Sunday July 24th at 2:00 pm.

Tuition:

There are no tuition or admission costs for being part of a CSTARS production.

Please Note:
In response to parent and participant requests, auditions will be held in a private room away from other waiting auditioners, but please be advised that board members will be sitting in on auditions for transparency and security. Please note that only the director decides the casting of each show.
