NOAA Short Term Forecast

THE BACK EDGE OF THE AREA OF RAIN THAT MOVED OVER THE AREA LAST
NIGHT AND THIS MORNING WAS LOCATED FROM BLUE CANYON...TO
AUBURN...TO EAST OF SACRAMENTO AT 745 AM. RAIN WILL CONTINUE TO
MOVE TO THE EAST OVER THE SIERRA NEVADA AND MOTHERLODE AREAS
THROUGH MID MORNING. MOSTLY LIGHT RAIN IS EXPECTED WITH SNOW ABOVE
5000 OR 6000 FEET. RAINFALL AMOUNTS FROM A TENTH TO A QUARTER OF
AN INCH ARE EXPECTED OVER THE SIERRA NEVADA AND MOTHERLODE THIS
MORNING. THIS AREA OF RAIN AND SNOW SHOULD DIMINISH BY LATE
MORNING.

MOSTLY CLOUDY SKIES ARE EXPECTED THIS AFTERNOON WITH STILL A CHANCE
OF SCATTERED SHOWERS...MAINLY NORTH OF INTERSTATE 80.
