Ellie Tafjen a fourth grader at Copperopolis Elementary School brought home a first place win this weekend at the Calaveras County Science Fair with her experiment titled "Mary Mary Quite Contrary, How does your garden grow?" Raising the question "Do different liquids have different effects on plant growth?"
Ellie had placed first within the Copperopolis Elementary School science fair earlier this month. With her win at the school level she then went on to represent Copper School at the County level.
