Copper Kids Club: Sing, Dance and Create

The Copper Kids Club, a childrens ministry club, makes learning about the love of God fun and exciting. The children sing, dance and create all the while learning a lesson that has been chosen for that day.

The lesson taught at Wednesday's class 1-19-11 was to "be brave." As adults we sometimes oversimplify the act of bravery, but Pastor Sean manages to reach the child at their understanding level. As they put on their listening ears, he gently told them how being brave could mean something as open as doing what is right even if it is difficult or something as gentle as not listening when someone has something bad to say about someone else. That lesson is worked through each aspect of the days club.

Singing and dancing played a major part in the days activities. This time the children learned sign language with a song they sang. Pastor Bill Cassidy was there to lend a hand with that one.

Hunter Moore and Summer Hamari were on hand along with authorized adults to assist where needed. Hunter helped with crafts and the finer aspects of sign language with some children, and Summer was a soothing presence for the younger children.

Stories were read, songs were sung, dances were danced, and crafts were created. Not a moment was wasted learning about the love of God.
