HEAVY SNOW WILL GRADUALLY TAPER OFF FROM THE NORTH ACROSS THE NORTHERN SIERRA NEVADA THIS MORNING...HOWEVER SNOW SHOWERS WILL CONTINUE THROUGH THE DAY. SIGNIFICANT ADDITIONAL SNOWFALL ACCUMULATIONS ARE LIKELY ALONG WITH AREAS OF BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW AT THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS.

COLD MINIMUM TEMPERATURES CAN BE EXPECTED ACROSS THE REGION THURSDAY AND FRIDAY MORNINGS WITH READINGS IN THE MOUNTAIN VALLEYS DIPPING DOWN INTO THE SINGLE DIGITS AND TEENS WHILE THE CENTRAL VALLEY WILL LIKELY SEE READINGS IN THE MID 20S TO LOWER 30S. OTHERWISE...NO HAZARDOUS WEATHER IS EXPECTED AT THIS TIME.
